NATURE GUIDE

There is an abundance of wildlife along the trail including: White Tail Deer, Eastern Wild Turkey, Gray Squirrel, Fox Squirrel, Wood Ducks, Canada Geese, Turtle, Beaver, River Otter, Eagle, etc…
Granite rock outcrops are a distinctive feature of the trail.  Native trees and plants such as: White Oak, Red Oak, River Birch, Pin Oaks, Yellow Pine, Red Cedar, Sweet Gum, Long Leaf Pine.  

North American Beaver

The beaver is a large, primarily nocturnal, semiaquatic rodent, second largest in the world. Their colonies create one or more dams to provide still, deep water to protect against predators, and to float food and building material.
