There is an abundance of wildlife along the trail including: White Tail Deer, Eastern Wild Turkey, Gray Squirrel, Fox Squirrel, Wood Ducks, Canada Geese, Turtle, Beaver, River Otter, Eagle, etc…
Granite rock outcrops are a distinctive feature of the trail.  Native trees and plants such as: White Oak, Red Oak, River Birch, Pin Oaks, Yellow Pine, Red Cedar, Sweet Gum, Long Leaf Pine.  

Gray Squirrel

The gray squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) is the most common species in Georgia. It is found statewide in both rural and urban areas.
