NATURE GUIDE

There is an abundance of wildlife along the trail including: White Tail Deer, Eastern Wild Turkey, Gray Squirrel, Fox Squirrel, Wood Ducks, Canada Geese, Turtle, Beaver, River Otter, Eagle, etc…
Granite rock outcrops are a distinctive feature of the trail.  Native trees and plants such as: White Oak, Red Oak, River Birch, Pin Oaks, Yellow Pine, Red Cedar, Sweet Gum, Long Leaf Pine.  

Fox

Valued as one of the classic representatives from the wild canid family, foxes are found throughout the state in both rural and urban landscapes. In Georgia, there are two species of fox - the gray fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus) and the red fox (Vulpes vulpes).
