NATURE GUIDE

There is an abundance of wildlife along the trail including: White Tail Deer, Eastern Wild Turkey, Gray Squirrel, Fox Squirrel, Wood Ducks, Canada Geese, Turtle, Beaver, River Otter, Eagle, etc…
Granite rock outcrops are a distinctive feature of the trail.  Native trees and plants such as: White Oak, Red Oak, River Birch, Pin Oaks, Yellow Pine, Red Cedar, Sweet Gum, Long Leaf Pine.  

Eastern Wild Turkey

The eastern wild turkey is the most numerous and widely distributed subspecies. It occurs throughout Georgia, and an intergrade of the eastern and Florida subspecies occurs across the extreme southern and southeastern part of the state.
