NATURE GUIDE

There is an abundance of wildlife along the trail including: White Tail Deer, Eastern Wild Turkey, Gray Squirrel, Fox Squirrel, Wood Ducks, Canada Geese, Turtle, Beaver, River Otter, Eagle, etc…
Granite rock outcrops are a distinctive feature of the trail.  Native trees and plants such as: White Oak, Red Oak, River Birch, Pin Oaks, Yellow Pine, Red Cedar, Sweet Gum, Long Leaf Pine.  

Bald Eagle

The bald eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) is a bird of prey found in North America. Its range includes most of Canada and Alaska, all of the contiguous United States, and northern Mexico. It is found near large bodies of open water with an abundant food supply and old-growth trees for nesting.
